Speech & Occupational Therapy

Chatterpillars Therapists build rapport and create strong relationships with the children in order to develop the trust necessary to help them work on developing areas of difficulty. Our therapists make learning fun by utilizing a developmentally appropriate, play-based approach that helps children become more proficient at their occupations of playing, learning and socializing. They actively seek out the most up-to-date information and research and apply that to their daily interactions with the children and their parents. Our therapeutic goals are to help children develop to their potential as active communicators who are able to play, learn and make friends in the community. Overall quality of life is our primary goal with the children and their families. Therapists encourage and support parent participation in any or all therapy sessions so that skills learned in therapy sessions can be generalized into the home environment. All therapists are members of their respective state and national associations that help keep them abreast of any new guidelines or quality of standards changes.
