Camp Runamok Summer Program

Chatterpillars Camp Runamok is a unique summer day camp for children 3-11 years old. Created for children with special needs in mind, this camp program also offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity for typically developing children to be part of an unparalleled adventure. This camp is not designed to be a therapy program, but it has a theme-based curriculum generated by speech-language and occupational therapists whose intent is to provide positive, adventurous and fun-filled social interactions for all who attend.

Camp Runamok offers children:

  • A supportive environment surrounded by peers
  • Increased competence, confidence and independence
  • Participation in many community-based experiences
  • Opportunities for social interaction
  • Improved play skills
  • Physical benefits of increased activity

During each week, arts and crafts, sports, music, sensorimotor activities and special events will be provided for a fun filled, enriching experience for the children. Some of this summer’s themes include: sports, animals, ocean adventure, transportation and community outings. In addition, Campers create their own personalized memory album during weekly scrapbooking.
